SOLARWORKCAT EN LAS JORNADAS BIOECONOMIC 2013

IMG_1039

The new American dream is green, commanded by California. That good Americans in business!!! In !!SPAIN SAUSAGES!!

Uh

Green Energy in USA

California has long been a renewable energy pioneer, acting as a de facto frontier for advanced grid technologies such as smart meters and solar PV. It extended that tradition earlier in month november 2012  with further advancement of the Global Warming Solutions Act, a multi-faceted environmental bill passed in 2006.

Formally called Assembly Bill 32, the legislation is the backbone of California’s goal to reach 33 percent renewable energy generation by 2020 and return greenhouse gas emissions to 1990s levels. A big part of the bill was the creating of a cap-and-trade policy, which requires the California Air Resources Board to begin auctioning off pollution allowances to companies that need to cut back on emissions.

33% Renewable Energy for California

What’s unique is that this is not just some regulation that was forced through the legislature. The cap-and-trade measure enjoyed significant support, with 61 percent of California’s voting in 2010 to affirm the provision.

Now again California is the pioneer, has seen the great opportunity of business that offers the renewable energy , with the net metering like reference. The Vote Solar Initiative, has been the organization in charge to elaborate a very complete report, for the Industry of Energy of North America, this report is the Evaluating the Benefits and Costs of Net Energy Metering.

The report concludes that the financial benefits of net metered power outweigh the costs, with a total net benefit value of more than $92 million annually .

Net Metering grid benefits

When someone decides to put solar panels on their roof, they not only generate clean power, but also reduce strain on the electric grid while offering financial benefits to all ratepayers,» said Adam Browning , executive director of The Vote Solar Initiative, the organization commissioning the report. Further, utilities can reduce their investments in transmission and distribution infrastructure and experience less electricity loss during transportation over power lines, as net metered solar’s surplus energy is sent to the grid locally. Utilities can also save on the cost of meeting emissions reduction and renewable energy targets.

Policies like net metering have helped California become home to a fast-maturing solar industry, which not only benefits utilities and ratepayers but the economy at large. California’s solar industry now employs over 43,000 and has attracted more than $10 billion in private investment.

BUSINESS GREEN IN USA
«…net metering is doing what it was designed to do — accelerating solar adoption while reducing our dependence on dangerous fossil fuels and kick-starting one of the most promising job-creating industries of the 21st Century,» said Daniel Kammen, University of California Berkeley distinguished professor in the Energy and Resources Group, and professor of public policy in the Goldman School of Public Policy.  «Solar produces energy at the times of highest cost to the utilities, so with the right market incentives, it is a simple ‘win-win-win’ for ratepayers, utilities, and the environment.»

Some European governments, such as Spain, should learn and take note of as leading the green energy model, who will lead the next years.

To them two questions:

1st :In Spain to these business opportunities of renewables will continue to invest in solar energy, only for our beach tourism?

tipical spanish

2nd:can become a service country and sausages, in a real manufacturer exporter of green energy?

chorizos

Srs politicians of Spain honestly think urgent, or over have to pay thousands of € for policy violations for failing to reduce our emissions.
